Privacy
If you give us your email address, we use it for two things: the weekly funder email, if you asked for it, and the sign-in links you ask for. Nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share it.
What we keep
- Your address, and when you signed up.
- The state and cause you chose.
- If you keep a profile: your organization's EIN and the grant size you usually ask for, if you give them. A profile is private. It is never published, never listed and never shown to a funder or to anyone else; only you, signed in, can see it.
- Which funders we have already emailed you, so none is sent twice.
- For each sign-in link: a scrambled (hashed) copy that lets it work once, and a scrambled form of the network address that asked, used only to stop one machine requesting links for many people. Both are deleted after seven days.
There are no passwords. Signing in sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in for 30 days or until you sign out.
Stopping and deleting
Every weekly email has a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing stops the email; we keep a note that the address asked, so that it is never emailed again by mistake.
To delete everything else, sign in at your profile and choose Delete my profile. That removes your profile, your place on the list, the record of what we sent you and your sign-in links, and keeps only that note. Or email us and we will do it by hand.
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. You can block it with any ad blocker and the site will work exactly the same.
The foundation data on this site is public information published by the IRS. It is not personal data about you.
